NORDIC GAME JAM 2017

Forgot to write about this earlier, but I participated in Nordic Game Jam this year! I ended up in a team apart from my usual team of friends (epic Antiderivative Games TM .com .org .net) and made graphics for a scifi-esque game. Here's some of my work:

Strangely I actually had a ton of extra time during the jam. In hindsight, I should have joined as a graphics artist for another team as well since there was a shortage of artists as usual. But then again, it was nice to get enough sleep. As always, I came to the jam with the idea of learning something (last time it was animation). I didn't really challenge myself much; the only "new" thing I did was put a lot of effort into the background and tried to steer away from the pixel-style art I tend to drift towards in every jam.

But after the jam I was motivated enough to actually download Blender and start looking at 3D art making! Yay. Maybe I'll actually even open Unity sometime soon. Hashtag motivationrealness.
